The 5 yr renewal of the contract between council chiefs and Hounslow Homes was sealed this week with a good old fashioned handshake.
Hounslow Council has decided to extend the organisation's management of the borough's housing stock until 2012.
Since Hounslow Homes was formed 5 yrs ago it was the first armslength management organisation to achieve a maximum three-star rating.
It was also the first to achieve the Goverment's "decent Homes" standard before the deadline of 2010.
The contract was signed during a ceremony at Hounslow Civic Centre last Thursday.
Hounslow Homes chairman Alf Chandler said "With dedication and good governance much has been achieved over the last 5yrs and the reviewed management agreement means much more can now be achieved over the next five."
The management agreement renewal follows a wholesale review of Hounslow Homes' activities over the last 5yrs.
Cllr Phil Andrews, who as the Council's lead member for housing headed up the review said "This highlighted the fact Hounslow Homes already provided excellent services and the extension of this partnership means we can now aim to improve these even further.
"It has been a pleasure to work with some passionate and dedicated staff within this partnership and i look forward to the next 5yrs"
