| I would like to congratulate the owner on a great forum and wish you all the very best of luck with it, I am sure it will grow and become very popular in time.
If you will forgive me one minor criticism, I think some of the bickering, such as on the URA/NITA thread, is off putting and might be discouraging good people from joining. It is to your credit that you allow opposing views, even from people who insult you, an airing, but I think it is a mistake not to ban this kind of nonsense from your forum. You need certain standards and people who abuse you with words like "doughnut" do not meet them and should not in my opinion be dignified by publishing their rubbish.
But that is just a personal view, hope no offence is taken. Well done on a great piece of work and wishing you all the best for the future.

firstly welcome to the forum.
I have read your comments and though i agree with you 100% but you have to understand that the forum is here to discuss ALL issues that are do with Isleworth and Ivybridge is a Big part of Isleworth.
I do understand about the attacks but you have to understand that on other forums certain individuals post Lies regarding stuff happening on Ivybridge and its only fair to allow people to post the truth on here.
If we were to ban talk about Ivybridge then this site would not be about everything to do with Isleworth and i don't feel its right to ban residents off Tw7 of discussing certain issues.
But i will certainly take your views seriously and maybe make a certain limit to what can be posted on here Regarding issues to do with Ivybridge.
I hope this Helps and you understand and again welcome to the forum.

| Simon, I wasn't saying don't discuss Ivybridge. I was saying don't allow idiots to come on here calling you names. But I agree it is a judgement call and all credit to you for not being fazed by it all. | |

thanks for your kind comments it means alot.
People calling me names i can live with ive had it for years, the truth is those behind the comments are trying to make me look bad as i talk the truth when it comes to matters on Ivybridge Estate and i care more about the residents on that estate than they do.
They will not crack me i can assure you mate.

| You're welcome Simon.
But you need to be aware that some people are accusing you of posting up these attacks on yourself, to discredit others.
Not saying I buy it, but I thought you would like to know.

I can assure everyone that the attacks on me are being made by individuals who i know and if they want to hide behind stupid names instead of saying it to me in their real names than they are just cowards.

| Simon, I'm sure you're right but I'm a bit confused about the exchange on this particular forum. You say somebody is pretending to be you, whilst attacking you? Why would you attack yourself? | |

| Thanks for explaining that Simon. I think the same people tried to set you up using the "Jason Stanley" name on the Brentford site. Why are these people so horrid to you? | |

No "Jason Stanley" was me...it was a silly thing i did a few years ago which i regret and was told off by the Admin of TW8 and totally agree with them i was wrong and shouldn't off done it. But certain people wont let it go after all these years and some of those individuals come onto Forums posting under Fake Names...one individual admitted to it last year on TW8 but no one has a go at him.

| Simon, it is thoroughly decent of you to take the stick for "Jason Stanley" but what I heard was that this guy really does exist and met you in an internet cafe somewhere where he asked you to make a post in his name. I might have this story muddled up so forgive me if I'm not being completely accurate, but this is what I have been told. | |

| Nothing...i was stating that it was wrong that a certain lady got an MBE for being friends with a certain MP. I stated (under Jason Stanley) that far more people in this area has done far more than this woman who should deserve an MBE like "Simon Anderson" (me)...it was more of a joke the bit about me as i did an article for the RTT and was asked would i accept an MBE i said No i don't do what i do for awards i do it because i want to and want to help. | |

| Have you been recommended for an MBE?
I personally would have no hesitation in recommending you for an MBE. I am aware of all the good work you do for the residents off Ivybridge without asking for any praise whatsoever. I know that all along you have had your troubles with your sick daughter, losing close relatives and your housing problems yet you never ask for sympathy and all the time you are working away for other people. I think your selflessness and sincerity has won you an awful lot of friends.

I appreciate what you have said i really do but like i said i do it to help people because i enjoy doing it.
If i can help someone that is my best reward i am not interested in MBE's.
There are far more people out there who do more than i have done who deserve an MBE more than i do.

| Simon, your kind comments only confirm what I already suspected, that you also an extremely modest man who shuns publicity and abhors adoration from the public. Whilst I think this is a wonderful quality in a man I believe you sell yourself short with your modesty and humility and deserve some recognition for all your efforts. I stand by what I say and plan to launch a big local campaign through the newspapers, websites and forums etc for you to receive some kind of award for your efforts. Maybe not an MBE if as seems to be the case that does not appeal to you, but some kind of token of our respect for you as a community and gratitude for your tireless work. | |
