Dear Residents,

As part of the Odour Improvements Project, our Contractor will shortly be
installing a new sludge scraper in the bottom of Secondary Settlement Tank
1. It is believed that the installation work may be adversely affected by
the ingress of sewage from the neighbouring tank via a leak in the tank
wall, which we need to address as soon as possible. To this end, we shall
be pumping out a void between SST 1 and SST 2 to investigate the cause of
the leak. This activity, which may cause increased levels of odour, is
planned to commence on Monday 17 December 2007, and is likely to take up to
3 days.

We would like to apologise for any increase in odour that residents may
experience while this work takes place.

Regards,

Dear Residents

We will be draining down Primary Settlement Tank Number 5, situated on the
East side of the works, over the weekend to carry out essential maintenance
work to a pump in this tank. This work is not part of the Odour
Improvement Works.

Unfortunately this work will need to take place over the weekend to ensure
that it is completed before the Christmas period.

We would like to apologise for any increase in odour that residents may
experience while this essential work takes place.

Kind Regards
Natalie

residents may notice a slight increase in odour during the course of the
work. This work is due to commence on Thursday 07 February 2008 and is
expected to be completed by Wednesday 14 February 2008. No work will take
place over the weekend that falls between these dates. Thames Water
